Slated to begin construction later in 2013, this home will definitely be different from the 1950’s ranch style homes typical of the Arden Park neighborhood. But it will sit quietly on its site, not dominating its neighbors. The home will be set back off the street to allow for a private front courtyard space to capture the morning sun.
The home has been designed as a series of floating planes with roofs that slide into the building and protect portions of the exterior with deep overhangs, blurring the distinction between indoors and outdoors. The building steps down the gently sloping land and stays grounded to the site.
